When I first started in this industry, partners used to joke that they had to teach graduates debits from credits. Now the issue is that they appear to know TOO MUCH technically, but NOT ENOUGH in other areas.
I pity grads - they're trying their best but brick walls are being put up no matter what they do, so it is no wonder staff attrition rates within firms are high.
